Education and Skills Training

A significant proportion of our work involves education, skills training and skills transfer.  Even when we are not specifically training, we will still be found modeling negotiation, communication, problem solving and dispute resolution skills in most complex and conflicted situations.

This modeling process often creates an unconscious transfer of skills which results, to a greater or lesser extent depending on the parties’ receptiveness, in some degree of “transformation” in the parties themselves.  We are often told that, during a mediation, we have helped parties “to see the light” - which may make them approach similar situations and other life experiences in rather different ways in the future.

We have developed several training courses that distill what we have experienced and learnt over the years.  They encapsulate much of what we deliver to our clients.

Note: Dispute Solutions in conjunction with The Solutionist Group offers an in-house program for organistions that have several employees wishing to participate; we are more than happy to speak with organisations that may require this. Terms & Conditions: Programs are limited to 24 participants, with a minimum of six people for each program. All prices are include GST. Your place will be reserved for you when full payment is received and confirmation will be provided. Cancellations will be accepted and all money refunded up to 7 days prior to the course. For later cancellations, up to 50% of the fee paid may be retained. All course participants obtain Solutionist Group certificates on the successful completion of their programs. The Full Mediation Program (5 days) satisfies current Australian requirements for professional Mediator training and should entitle participants to apply for formal mediator accreditation with other oganisations. You are advised to make your own enquiries and to satisfy yourself on this issue.
